Description :Cation exchange resin is a polystyrene matrix of gel-type strong acid cation exchange resin containing sulfonic acid, and solid acid for the removal of Calcium, Magnesium and other hardness-forming elements in water which lead to scaling of pipework, geysers, kettles etc.

This Ion-Exchange Resin works by reducing water hardness through an exchange process. As hard water passes over the resin beads, the unwanted Magnesium () and Calcium () ions (hardness) are chemically captured and replaced with harmless Sodium (Na+) or Potassium (K+) ions, resulting in soft water.
Good to know:
Regeneration is Key: The resin beads require regular recharging with Sodium Chloride (salt) or sodium hydroxide (depending on the resin type) to maintain their softening capacity. This regeneration process is performed automatically by a control valve on your softener vessel.
