The String Wound sediment filter is a pre-filter that removes sand, silt, dirt, and rust particles from water. The string wound filters come in various sizes 10 inches 20 inches and big blue sizes. The string wound also comes in various micron sizes like 1 , 5 , 10 , 20 , 30 , and 50 but the most common sizes are 5 and 20 microns
