How It Works

• The UV Process: As water flows through the stainless steel chamber, it is exposed to concentrated 254nm UVC rays.

• Genetic Disruption: This intense light penetrates the cell walls of microorganisms and permanently disrupts their genetic material (DNA/RNA).

• The Result: Pathogens are biologically "inactivated." The water remains chemically unchanged and retains its natural mineral content, but becomes safe for human consumption

Maintenance Schedule

To ensure continuous biological safety, follow these essential service intervals:

• Replace UV Lamp: Every 9,000 hours (Approx. 12 months). The lamp loses its germicidal effectiveness even if it still appears to glow.

• Clean Quartz Sleeve: Every 6 months. Mineral scale or cloudiness on the sleeve will "shadow" the pathogens from the UV rays.

• Replace Quartz Sleeve: Every 2 years, or sooner if the glass is permanently stained or scratched.

Essential "Good to Know"

• Pre-Filtration is Mandatory: UV light cannot penetrate through "shadows" cast by floating dirt or sand. You must have at least a 5-micron sediment filter installed before the UV unit.

• No Residual Protection: UV kills at the point of contact only. Ensure your storage tanks and pipes downstream of the unit are clean.

• Fragile Components: Due to the extremely high risk of glass breakage, we do not ship UV units or lamps via standard courier. Collection or specialized delivery is required.
