Description
The Blue Spot 220W UV Sterilizer is a high-capacity, industrial-grade disinfection system designed for large-scale water purification projects. Capable of handling a massive flow rate of 10,000 Litres Per Hour, this unit is the premier choice for food and beverage processing, municipal water backup, agricultural irrigation, and large commercial complexes. Utilizing a high-intensity four-lamp configuration, it provides a powerful germicidal barrier that neutralizes 99.9% of bacteria, viruses, and parasites without the use of hazardous chemicals.
Features
-
Industrial Flow Capacity: Engineered for high-demand environments, delivering up to 10 m^3/hr of biologically safe water.
-
4-Lamp High-Intensity Array: Features four 55W lamps working in unison to ensure maximum UVC dosage even at peak flow rates.
-
Heavy-Duty 40mm (1.5") Connections: Large-bore male threaded inlets and outlets minimize friction loss and pressure drop across the system.
-
Polished Reactor Chamber: High-grade stainless steel housing, polished internally to reflect UV-C light back into the water stream for 360-degree exposure
-
Pure Quartz Protection: Individual high-purity quartz sleeves isolate each lamp, ensuring optimal light transmission and easy maintenance.
-
Advanced Ballast System: Precision electronic power supplies regulate voltage to maximize lamp life and provide consistent output.
How It Works
-
The UV Process: As water enters the high-volume reactor, it is subjected to a concentrated "kill zone" created by the 220W UV-C array.
-
Pathogen Destruction: The 254nm wavelength light penetrates the genetic material of microorganisms like Vibrio cholerae, Legionella, and E. coli.
-
The Result: The pathogens' DNA is shattered, rendering them sterile and unable to infect. The water remains chemically unaltered and mineral-rich, perfectly safe for large-scale distribution.

Maintenance Schedule
For industrial-scale safety, strict adherence to maintenance is required:
-
Replace UV Lamps: Every 9,000 hours (Approx. 12 months). In industrial settings, annual replacement is critical as the germicidal intensity tapers off.
-
Clean Quartz Sleeves: Every 3 to 6 months. Mineral scaling (calcium/magnesium) will significantly reduce the effectiveness of the UV light.
-
Replace Quartz Sleeves: Every 2 years, or if they show signs of etching or permanent staining.
-
Seal Inspection: Always replace O-ring seals during lamp or sleeve maintenance to prevent high-pressure leaks.
Essential "Good to Know"
-
Pre-Filtration is Mandatory: UV light cannot penetrate "shadows" cast by suspended particles. Industrial systems must have a sediment filtration stage (5-micron or less) before the UV unit.
-
System Design: For 10,000 L/H flow rates, ensure your pump and pipework are correctly sized for 40mm connections to avoid turbulence.
-
Fragile Components: This unit contains long glass lamps and sleeves. Collection is mandatory due to the high risk of courier breakage.
