What Does It Do?

This jumbo UF membrane acts as a molecular sieve to provide a safe water supply for drinking, cooking, and bathing:

• Microbiological Safety: Removes 99% of bacteria, viruses, cysts, and protozoa.

• Sediment & Turbidity Removal: Captures high levels of silt, rust, colloids, and microplastics that cause cloudiness in water.

• Directly Drinkable Water: Transforms standard tap or tank water into a microbiologically safe source (when paired with proper pre-filtration).

Maintenance & Service Life

Unlike standard disposable cartridges, the PVDF construction allows for greater longevity and maintenance flexibility:

• Washable Design: When flow rate decreases, the membrane can be washed to remove surface "filter cake" and restore performance.

• Replacement Interval: Typically lasts 1 to 3 years, depending on feed water quality and how well pre-filters are maintained.

• Essential Pre-Filtration: A PP sediment cartridge (5 micron or less) must be installed before this membrane to prevent rapid clogging from large debris.

• Chlorine Note: This membrane does not remove chlorine. For best results, it should be paired with a Carbon (CTO or GAC) filter.
