The Vontron LP 8040 is a premier industrial-sized Low-Pressure (LP) Reverse Osmosis membrane element. Engineered by Vontron Membrane Technology, it is specifically designed for high-performance brackish water desalination. By providing exceptional salt rejection at reduced operating pressures, it translates directly into significant energy savings and lower capital costs for pumping equipment. What Does It Do?

The LP 8040 acts as a molecular-level barrier to transform challenging raw water into high-purity process water:

Maintenance & Operating Limits

To ensure a service life of 3 to 5 years, maintain the following limits:

  • Pre-treatment: Ensure Silt Density Index (SDI) is ≤ 5 and Chlorine is < 0.1 ppm.

  • Cleaning Timing: Perform chemical cleaning (CIP) if flow drops by >15% or pressure differential increases by >15%.

  • pH Tolerance: Continuous operation: pH 2–11; Chemical cleaning: pH 1–13.

  • First Use: Flush at low pressure for 15–25 mins, then high pressure for 60–90 mins. Discard all permeate from the first hour
