Description :

The LP 8040 is a premier industrial-sized Low-Pressure (LP) Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane element. It is designed for high-performance brackish water desalination, offering exceptional salt rejection at reduced operating pressures.

This design translates directly into significant energy savings and lower capital costs for pumping equipment in industrial and commercial water treatment systems.

Features :

  • Low Operating Pressure: Engineered to operate efficiently at reduced pressures, directly cutting energy consumption (electricity costs) compared to standard RO membranes.

  • High Salt Rejection: Provides a stable salt rejection rate of 99.5% or higher, ensuring high-purity permeate water.

  • Large Capacity: The 8040 size is the industry standard for high-flow commercial/industrial systems, with an average permeate flow of 10,500 GPD (Gallons Per Day).

  • Contaminant Removal: Highly effective at removing dissolved salts, Total Organic Carbon (TOC), silica (SiO2?), and other dissolved solids.

Applications (Where to Use It)

The LP series membrane is ideal for treating water sources with a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) content typically less than (parts per million).

  • Industrial Water Purification: Producing high-purity water for sensitive processes.

  • Boiler Feed Water: Generating high-quality make-up water for power plant and industrial boilers.

  • Drinking Water/Bottled Water: Large-scale purification of municipal, tap, or borehole water.

  • Electronics Industry: Preparation of ultrapure water where high TOC and silica rejection is critical.

  • Wastewater Reuse: Used in tertiary treatment stages for water reclamation.
