The Complete Clino 1054 Vessel is a high-performance, mid-sized filtration system specifically engineered for the superior removal of turbidity and fine sediment in residential and general water treatment applications. It utilizes Clino Media (a processed natural Zeolite called Clinoptilolite) which significantly outperforms traditional sand filters by achieving filtration down to 3-5 microns. Beyond mechanical filtration, the Zeolite's crystalline structure provides unique ion-exchange capabilities to capture various low-level contaminants. The larger 10" x 54" FRP tank, matched with 2 bags of Clino Media, offers increased capacity and flow rate, making it an excellent whole-house filter choice.

What does it do:

The Clino 1054 vessel functions as a highly effective multimedia filter:

  1. Sediment & Turbidity Control: The Zeolite bed traps fine suspended solids that cause cloudiness (turbidity), ensuring clearer water output.

  2. Water Quality Enhancement: It uses its natural ion-exchange capacity to pull common water contaminants from the water flow, primarily removing Ammonium and reducing trace amounts of heavy metals like Iron and Lead.

  3. Protects Downstream Equipment: Acts as a vital pre-filter, protecting sensitive equipment like UV lights, RO membranes, and carbon filters from clogging by fine particles.

Good to know:

  • Clino Media: Clino Media is a highly stable, natural Clinoptilolite mineral. Its microporous character gives it filtration and adsorption properties superior to standard sand or gravel.

  • Capacity: The 1054 size is well-suited for medium to large homes with 2 to 3 bathrooms, where a higher service flow rate is required than the smaller 844 vessel.

  • Manual Control: The Manual Head requires the user to initiate the cleaning Backwash cycle, typically once per week, ensuring simple maintenance without the need for power.

  • Media Life: Clino Media is not consumable (like pH media) and has a very long service life, often lasting 5 years or more before replacement is considered.

Maintenance:

Backwash Cycle Every days Manually turn the head to the BACKWASH setting to lift the media bed and flush trapped sediment to drain.
Rinse Cycle After Backwash Turn the head to the RINSE position to resettle the media bed before returning to the FILTER position.
Media Check Every years Although the media is long-lasting, a check for degradation/loss may be advisable.
