Description :

Stop corrosive acidic water from damaging your plumbing and fixtures with the Complete pH Fix Vessel! This comprehensive filter system is designed for effective, natural pH correction using premium Calcite (calcium carbonate) media. Ideal for treating low pH well water or borehole water, it raises the pH to a balanced, non-corrosive level, instantly reducing the potential for costly leaks and blue-green staining from dissolved copper. It's a reliable, cost-effective solution for long-term acidic water treatment.

Features :

  • Natural pH Correction: Uses naturally occurring, high-purity Calcite media (calcium carbonate) to raise the water's pH level.

  • Self-Limiting Action: The Calcite dissolves slowly and only corrects the pH to a non-corrosive equilibrium (typically pH 7.0–7.5), preventing over-correction.

  • Corrosion Reduction: Significantly reduces the corrosive properties of acidic water, protecting your entire plumbing system and water-using appliances.

  • Manual Filter Head: Provides simple, user-controlled operation for backwashing and maintaining the media bed.

  • Cost-Effective Solution: pH fix reacts and dissolves slowly, making it an inexpensive, long-lasting solution compared to chemical-injection systems.

  • Robust Vessel: Durable FRP (Fibre-Reinforced Plastic) pressure vessel built for longevity.

What does it do:

The Complete pH Fix filter system effectively neutralizes acidic water by passing it through a bed of Calcite media. The acidic water slowly dissolves the calcium carbonate, which in turn releases beneficial calcium ions and raises the water's pH.

  1. Eliminates Corrosion: By raising the pH above 7.0, it eliminates the staining of sanitary ware (sinks, tubs) caused by leaching metals like copper and lead.

  2. Protects Plumbing: Slows down the likelihood of pinhole leaks and dramatically increases the lifespan of your entire water distribution system, including pipes, geysers, and appliances.

  3. Enhances Water Quality: Corrects the metallic or sour taste often associated with low pH water and adds essential calcium, which is considered beneficial. This is a crucial step in whole-house water treatment.

Good to know:

  • Water Hardness Increase: As the Calcite dissolves, it adds calcium to the water, which will likely increase your water's hardness. In areas with already hard water, a water softener may be recommended for installation after the pH correction system.

  • Ideal Range: This system is highly effective for water with a raw pH generally between 6.0 and 6.9. For pH levels below 6.0, mixing with a faster-reacting media (like Corosex) might be required.

  • Installation Point: Typically installed as a whole-house water filter on the main water line, immediately following the pressure tank (for borehole or well systems).

  • Filter Type: This is a neutralizer/acid-correcting filter—it is not a sediment or carbon filter. A pre-filter for sediment is recommended if your water contains large particles.

Maintenance:

The pH correction media is consumed over time as it neutralizes the acid

  1. Backwashing: You must perform periodic backwashing using the Manual Filter Head (usually once a week or as needed) to prevent the media from compacting (cementing) and to maintain efficient flow.

  2. Media Replenishment: The Calcite media will gradually deplete and must be periodically topped up (replenished). This typically occurs every 6–18 months, depending on your water's pH level and usage.

  3. Annual Check: It's recommended to check your residual water pH level annually to ensure the system is operating optimally.
